Care closer to home
The era of centralised, hospital-based diagnostics is ending. Patients should not have to navigate hospital car parks, wait in crowded outpatient departments, or travel miles from home for a scan that can be delivered to the same standard in their local community. We exist to make that shift happen.
Every centre we open, every mobile unit we deploy and every pathway we design is intended to reduce the distance between a patient and the scan they need. Not as a cost-saving exercise, but because community-based care is fundamentally better care: less stressful for patients, more accessible for vulnerable populations and more efficient for the system.
Our flagship Community Diagnostic Centre at the Amex Stadium in Brighton exemplifies this. Delivered in partnership with the NHS, the centre provides rapid-access imaging for patients referred from across Sussex. It was featured as an exemplar of good practice in the Independent Healthcare Providers Network report on community health services.
Brighton is one model. In Stockport we operate from a community clinic working alongside the GP federation. In Crowborough and Seaford we deliver through existing healthcare centres. In Eastbourne we support NHS hospital capacity. The model flexes to the community it serves.

Reaching underserved populations
Equity, not just convenience
Community-centred delivery is about equity. We prioritise deployment to areas where access to diagnostic imaging is limited, where populations face health inequalities, and where travel to an acute hospital is a genuine barrier to care.
Our mobile fleet allows us to place a scanner in any location: a GP surgery car park, a community centre, a football stadium, a university campus. Mobile units provide immediate, interim support; modular builds provide long-term solutions, delivered faster than traditional construction and fully CQC-compliant from day one.
The Neighbourhood Health opportunity
Built for the NHS 10 Year Plan
The NHS 10 Year Health Plan establishes the Neighbourhood Health Service as the foundation for transforming care. The three strategic shifts are clear: hospital to community, analogue to digital, sickness to prevention. This is what we have been building towards since 2010.
The National Neighbourhood Health Implementation Programme is now supporting 43 sites across England. Stockport, where we already operate, is among them. Medical Imaging Partnership is positioned to support any site in the programme with diagnostic infrastructure, clinical governance and operational delivery, without capital investment from partners. We partner with PCNs, GP federations and integrated care systems: clinical leadership stays local, we bring equipment, governance, reporting and delivery. This is partnership, not procurement.
