The head of the NHS is to announce that cancer tests will be available in supermarket carparks in a drive to speed up diagnosis.
Pilot schemes have been carried out with CT scanners and have seen great results.
GP's in Manchester wrote to patients inviting smokers and ex-smokers to take part in the trial and undergo lung checks.
This could now be rolled out across the UK enabling early diagnosis and saving lives.
